Natural Habitat Evanston is working to certify Evanston as a habitat for birds and pollinators

Natural Habitat Evanston is a community effort to help birds and pollinators, and to certify Evanston as National Wildlife Federation habitat.  To certify Evanston, yards and gardens at 200 homes, five schools and six community properties, like places of worship and parks, must be certified as National Wildlife Federation habitat.  We are well on our way, but we especially need more homes and schools to certify.  Whether you garden at a home, on a balcony, in a schoolyard or other spots, you can certify your yard.  We have other efforts underway as well: restoring public spaces, creating demonstration gardens, spreading the word on pesticides and more.
