The future of the Harley-Clark Mansion at 2603 Sheridan Road will be discussed at this Monday evening’s City Council meeting. The former home of the Evanston Art Center has been shuttered since the City Council was unable to decide the mansion's fate last spring. Several groups have proposed solutions, from renovating to razing the mansion and the accompanying buildings. See the city's website for a history of the building.
First and foremost SEA advocates for keeping the Harley Clark property under the city's ownership for public use by all Evanston residents, and SEA supports several possible outcomes that would achieve this goal.
Please come to this meeting to learn more about the possibilities for the mansion and to help shape its future.
