SEA Annual Meeting set for October 10

SEA is pleased to invite you to the SEA Annual Meeting, Monday, October 10 at 7:00 pm.

In the elegant setting of The Homestead at 1625 Hinman Avenue, come socialize with your Southeast Evanston neighbors and relax with a drink and a selection of savory hors d’oeuvres and sweets. Then, after a short business meeting, we will hear from our speaker:

Darrell King, Chief of the City of Evanston Water Production Bureau. Mr. King will speak about how Lake Michigan water is treated and distributed to consumers, as well as the challenges faced by water utilities, particularly when water quality issues have dominated the news. This is sure to be an informative and engaging presentation.

Please also take this opportunity to either join the Southeast Evanston Association or renew your membership. The easiest way is online at www.southeastevanston.org (only $25/year or $40/two years!).

In addition to voting privileges, you will continue to receive our email notices, keeping you up to date on what’s happening along the lakefront; in city politics, planning and zoning; on issues for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists; and many other items of interest to our community.

The SEA Board of Directors meets regularly with city officials and staff to share our interests and priorities on your behalf. We have been active in tracking the implementation of Evanston’s Downtown Plan and Lakefront Master Plan, and we continue to monitor and respond to issues concerning lakefront stewardship, neighborhood preservation, Northwestern University construction projects, restoration of the Harley Clarke property, bicycle lanes, and other major issues.

Make plans now to join us on Monday, October 10 at 7:00 pm.
We look forward to seeing you!
