The City of Evanston is collecting feedback on Street Cleaning this week through an online survey.
Street cleaning is a city initiative to improve the cleanliness of Evanston by collecting litter, debris and leaves from the street -- especially before they become bigger problems by entering bodies of water. There are different schedules for streets with parking on one side (which are swept once each month) and schedules for streets with parking on both sides. For these streets, primary routes are swept bi-weekly, and residential streets are swept tri-weekly.
The survey has nine questions which seek to improve communications to Evanston residents and changing the City’s current street-sweeping schedule from April 1 to November 30 to March 1 through December 30.
